A different starting point
Health and wellbeing have always been central to the lives of the founders of Aeqium. Francesco Balestrieri and Alla Reitsma have worked for more than 20 years in the world of multinational pharmaceutical companies, Nicola Balestrieri is a doctor full of passion for his work. It is from a conversation with Nicola that it all started. He was wondering how to answer the many questions people were asking him about skin health. How to take care of it in the right way?
Skin care as balance
In his vision as a doctor, beauty is not about a single wrinkle, but about the health and balance of the skin. This is the spark that ignites his passion: creating a skincare line that reinterprets skincare in terms of health and balance. But what does balance really mean? It means that the skin has two faces, one inside and one outside of our body, and it is necessary to act on both, from the inside and the outside, to provide an effective and specific response to its different needs. This is the only way to restore the skin to its natural state of well-being and keep it healthy so that it can express its full beauty.
Aeqium is born.
In a world where everyone focuses on treating imperfection, this new vision needs a new approach: from the inside out. And so Aeqium was born, a treatment that works on the health and beauty of the skin with nutraceuticals and dermocosmetics. In order to achieve the highest standards of effectiveness, the first step was to bring together a team of specialists from different disciplines: dermatologists, cosmetologists, nutritionists, doctors, surgeons and phytoculturists. All united by the scientific method.

From the beginning, the guiding principle has been to follow science. But in addition to the scientific side, Aeqium has a glamorous soul, made of enveloping textures and sophisticated packaging. The end result is a luxurious clean and effective line: gentle on everyone, effective on everyone's skin. Just as it was dreamed of two years ago.
